Leaving Scholarship in China for Finn, why?
Introduce yourself, please? Hello, my name is New. I’m currently a second-year student at Finn. Waiting to go study in the UK. In what year are you in Finn? Finn #11 Before studying at Finn, what were you studying? I was studying BBA in Fujian, China. You also got a scholarship, right? Yes, it is a scholarship for universities in Fujian region. The university asked me to write my personal details and reasons why I wanted the scholarship with my Chinese language level. Did it cover all 4 years? Yes.   I heard that you moved to Finn because of your mother’s suggestion. Why did you agree to come here? At first my mother wanted me to study in China for 4 years and then to improve my English skills for another year. But I knew about Finn when I was in second year and the first 2 years at Finn can be sped up to just 8 months, plus another year in the UK. So, this is shorter compared to studying in China. How was your 2 years at Finn? When I first moved here, it was all very different. In China, exams are mostly multiple choices with a little written exams but, here, British curriculum is all about written exams. Does it focus on analytical skills? Yes, it is like…stating your own ideas. And how do you adapt from Chinese to British system? It took a little while to get used to it because I wasn’t really good at English at first. But now you already had IELTS test right? Yes, I got 6.0. Before I came to Finn, I only got 3.5 lol. In the last year what course and where do you choose to study? I choose to study Business Administration (BBA) in Northampton University Why BBA at Northampton? I choose BBA at Northampton because my family already have our own business and I want to further develop it in the future. Also, there are a lot of people at Finn who graduated from Northampton that can guide me like a babysitter 🙂 since I’ve never been to Europe or America. Are you confident that you are ready to study in the UK? I am because when I moved here, I felt everything was so difficult. Now I am used to it. It takes time but I’m not scared of anything now. I am a lot more confident with my English.   There is nothing we cannot achieve. Just learn and gradually adapt yourself. That’s how you become successful. It takes time but surely it is going to be worthwhile.   If you are confident that you can be this concentrated with education then hurry up! Let’s build your own future at Finn in 3-year bachelor program with a degree from the United Kingdom!
